   iPhone OS is Mac OS X just cut down and tuned to work on a portable device without the unnecessary fluff.
   Apple build the OS to match the product, if it was running the desktop OSX it would need much faster hardware and would not preform as well nor would the interface fit.
   Its better building a interface that fits the product than to please a few people that think unless the OS takes up half the storage its naff.

   Lacking flash ads does not bother me, it has a youtube app.
   Composing a email may be fiddly but the iPhone works so i dinny see any issues.
   Video and Music can be bought from any store as long as it is in h.264 format for video and it supports many audio formats.
   Games will work very well, mind its a custom chip built for the device you cant compare it to a Intel and say its slow.
   And you can download kindle books with the kindle app without giving Apple any money.

    So what it don’t have. I phone had things it didn’t have then added on later…. I know imma get it.. I have a SONY READER now…. Imma get the IPAD so i can dl the bible from Ibooks and use it as a BIBLE in My church, I can’t wait, gonna draw a big crowd when church is over…..LOL

    Browsing Web? Fail – no flash = limited access.
    Email looks good – not sure about composing.
    Photos – yup – kinda pricey for a frame.
    Video – sure as long as u buy it from their store.
    Music – yop same story – u buy from them.
    Games? No this is a fail. Too slow, no storage.
    Ebooks. But of course – another store – what this product is in fact all about.
    All of the “benefits” we all have for free right now – I see no benefit tipping Apple for any media I wish to watch listen or read.
    FAIL

    Very disappointing, watch videos, photos, read books, listen to ya music and only 64GB WTF!
    Have to pay for all the apps, accessories will be fuckin’ expensive….not worth it!

    Doesn’t have a usb port. Doesn’t have win7 or the ability to run OS X which is Apples OS.. If it would of had OS X then maybe it would of been worth the cash.

    there isnt even a webcam… Does it have Windows 7? Netbooks do. They should include the case or something. It didnt look like it had a USB port either…
