Loved this practical guide to college life. I bought it for my daughter who will be a Freshman this Fall. Tips on decorating a dorm room, roommate survival tips, guys, dating and sex, even how to prepare during the summer. What sets this book apart from others is it is tailored for the challenges a girl faces in college – how I wish I’d had this book when I went to college! Some things are common sense (ex – don’t take clothing that is hard to take care of), others are quite clever (ex – wait and do some of your college clothing shopping till you get to college. This way you can get a better sense of what people are wearing). Especially loved the bottom line pearls of wisdom highlighted in each topic and the 21 rules for making the most of college. As a parent I’ve tried to prepare my child to be successful wherever she goes, this book is an excellent tool towards that goal.

Nothing new in this book, but it still is probably interesting to those going to be away from home for the first time.
