   I’ll attempt to be fair, although I just restored my iPad using the original cable after this one corrupted my iPad. Attempting to connect to it twice responded with an error message. The third time an iPad showed up in iTunes on my Mac, however it didn’t find the name, any other information, and corrupted the data while trying to sync.

   Attempting to sync my first generation iPhone was a complete failure.

   It’s possible this cable is just defective, but frankly I’m not going to take the chance. I plan on returning it ASAP.

   Love this cable! I’ve had it about a month and its definately worth its weight in gold! I travel alot with my job and unfortunately there is rarely an outlet close to the bed. My phone is also my alarm, so it is imperative that its close to me through the night. Problem solved with this cable. Of course it’s great at the house too. I bought one for my overnight bag and one for my house. It works great for syncing too. My computer recognizes my iPhone 3GS quickly, transfers quickly. No complaints really. Also surprising is the build quaity. Nice, thick, and sturdy! Definately would recommend to anyone.
