   @SgtPickledic yeah you may be right on that idk cause from the vids i checked ford gt is still faster than the zr1 i see races on these two cars so yeah top gear isnt everything. And if you say that it is faster than the ford gt wow lol! how long did it took them to beat their old model? yup years hahahaha!!! wait till the new ford gt comes out have you seen it??? that shit is sick!!! than we could talk modern ford gt vs. modern corvette zr1 after that dont say shit buddy get your history right

   @StandardRacing Really? The 2010 got 12.70′s. The 150lbs lighter 2011 with 10+more hp. got 12.40. Dozen of mags have test both the 2010 and 2011 GT500 and all of these times are nearly identical. The as tested price on most of the GT500′s are around $55k one mag was over $57k. The GT500 should be faster with the amount of HP it has. Ford needs to redesign the susp and adds a IRS. The new 5.0 is nearly as fast and $20k cheaper! The GT500 is beautiful car but overpriced for the performance u get!

   @ejf2461 Actually the 2010 GT500 ran 11.90′s bone stock and for less than $50K, and with nothing more than a set of drag radials it ran an 11.50. That was all from a car that came straight from the Ford factory and not some car that was built by an aftermarket company like SLP.

    @ejf2461 I can’t afford any of them and I won’t start that SLP isn’t factory like Shelby battle. Yes, the GT500 is pretty slow, but the 2011 GT is a beast. Evolution Motorsports has one running 10.88 in the 1/4 at 127 mph with a tune, street legal drag radials, a posi rearend, a CAI and 100 shot of nitrous. Which is about in total about $2500 worth of mods.

    @ejf2461 I was just comparing the top dogs in the pony car war. If you want to go basics than. 2011 Mustang GT (412 hp) $29645, 2011 Camaro 1SS (426 hp) $30945, 2011 Dodge Challenger R/T (357 hp) $31610. All numbers taken from the manufacturers websites. Look them up if you don’t believe me.

    @dodge69874 Wrong again! The Mustang GT 5.0 412hp & Challenger RT 376hp
    were meant to compete against each other. The SS is cheaper, faster & more comfortable than its competitors. Face it GM gives you more the money! Mopar wants you to spend $10k more on a SRT8 Challenger that still can take the SS and Ford ask that you spend $15k more beat the SS with a Live Axle Rear End! Also for puts a Top Speed Limiter on the GT @ 146mph. A V6 Camaro will run 157mph! Compare Apple to Apple buddy!

    @dodge69874 , Point Taken. Then compare the 2011 $55k GT500 to a $55k SLP Camaro ZL585. The Camaro shows the Mustang the when you give it over 500hp you should show you appreciation by posting 11 sec 1/4mi times! The SLP ZL585 does 11.70′s in the 1/4mi. Oh but I think you going to need a IRS to get that done Pony Boy! I agree the 2011 GT500 is improved, but not worth $55k on any day of the week! 550hp and the best you can do is 12.40′s in the 1/4mi Maybe the 2012 GT500 will get it right!

    @ejf2461 Comparing a 4 seater pony car to a 2 seater race car is not how it’s done. Look it up, it’s called the pony car war. Mustang vs. Camaro vs. Challenger. These were always the competitors and always shall be.

    @jomawil 2011 Shelby GT500 MSRP $48645, 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 MSRP $43100, 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS2 $35775. These cars are meant to compete with each other. Ford GT, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, and Dodge Viper ACR are meant to compete with each other, though the GT is at a disadvantage since it hasn’t been produced in 4 years.

    @chivas4ev3r , Lets clarify a few things! When Ford started selling $50k Mustangs they’re not gonna be compared to $30k Camaro’s anymore. So you compare the GT500 with a $50k Corvette which beats it 0-60, 1/4mi, Top Speed, well every single performance catagory there is! Oh you say Ford GT @ $138k well compare it to a$100k ZR1 Vette and again the Ford product gets beat in 0-60, 1/4mi, Top Speed! If Ford would put more cubic inches under the Mustang GT hood they wouldnt need a GT500 or GT500KR

    @chivas4ev3r we’re just saying… it costs just as much as a corvette, which would you rather have? A pony or a corvette. I guess thats all in your opinion. I like mustangs, but I think I’d take the corvette.
