Hi! Thanks, great lesson. One question though. With rests, what’s the number associated for?
e.g The whole rest, it’s for four beats and the number it’s associated with is one. What’s the whoe number associated thing about cause I don’t get it. Lol
Thanks.

Check out Lesson #40– especially the “more info” section in the sidebar– for more specifics on what to practice. The lesson numbers aren’t necessarily the order you should watch them in.
Thanks Andrew!!

Never ever ever noticed what line/space the whole/half rest where placed…wow! Learn something new every day!!!
May 1st, 2010 - 06:58
When entering a “wholy” place you must remove your hat and set it down, but HALF of the time you forget to take it off. Haha, god that was lame! But I just made it up and not a whole story!
May 1st, 2010 - 07:08
thank you
May 1st, 2010 - 07:13
teacher one taugh me that it would be easier to see the difference between thw whole rest and the half rest. see, the whole is worth more than the half rest, so the hat gets heavier and then it stays upside down. it might help
May 1st, 2010 - 07:52
These lessons are Great but it would help alot if you told us exactly what to practice on piano at the end of every lesson like which scales and which chords
May 1st, 2010 - 08:24
…also kinda looks like an upside down hat. Heyyyy!! LOL
May 1st, 2010 - 08:31
scales and chords
May 1st, 2010 - 09:14
what exactly are we supposed to be practising on the piano, while we’re having lessons on theory? just scales?
May 1st, 2010 - 09:48
Fantastic explanations.
One quick question… Does this guide apply to all music or just classical based?
Reggae and Ska-based music, for example, I’m sure goes by a weakStrongweakMedium.
Might be wrong.
‘elp.
